Job Summary
Part-time Special Needs Swim Instructor to teach the SNAP program for children with adaptive needs. Weekend availability required ( Saturdays or Sundays, 3-8 PM ). No swim experience needed; comprehensive training provided. Indoor, heated 91° pool in La Mesa, CA. Starting pay $27-$30 per hour. Responsibilities include teaching water safety and swimming skills, adapting lessons to each child, celebrating progress with families, and fostering a safe, supportive environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and adhere to safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience working with children with adaptive needs (school, therapy, or support setting)
- Willingness to follow Aqua-Tots safety guidelines and attend training
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
