Job Summary
Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher responsible for planning, directing, and implementing motor development instruction for students with disabilities. Provides individual and small-group services aligned with IEPs, collaborates with IEP teams, staff, parents, nurses, therapists, and other agencies, maintains comprehensive files, and participates in professional development and program evaluation. Establishes goals within IEPs, monitors student progress, and coordinates services with paraprofessionals and volunteers; includes communication with staff and administration and active participation in regular and special staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- California Credential in Physical Education or Education Specialist Credential or Adapted Physical Education Specialist certificate
