Job Summary
Develops and implements an instructional plan aligned to school and system-wide goals and the student’s IEP; provides direct special education instruction to identified students with disabilities; designs and adapts lesson plans and materials to support academic, behavioral, and social skill development; monitors student progress and maintains EC records in compliance with state and federal guidelines; communicates with parents about educational progress; serves as case coordinator coordinating with care-givers, support professionals, and parents to meet student needs; term of employment is 10 months; emphasizes inclusive practices and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in special education
- Certification in general curriculum by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
