Job Summary
Provide research-based literacy interventions to small groups and assist with Title I literacy, compliance, family engagement and Pre-K requirements. Collaborate with the principal, instructional coach, and interventionist to implement literacy interventions; maintain records/logs/reports related to Title I literacy and Pre-K; assist in planning family engagement activities with school/district staff; support Pre-K classrooms (including covering lunch breaks) and complete prerequisites (CPR certification, background check, TB testing). Requires strong office, computer, and oral/written communication skills; candidate must be highly-qualified with acceptable paraprofessional credentials. Part-time role located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- One year of general clerical or school experience (college degree preferred)
- CPR certification
- National fingerprint background check
- TB testing
- Two years of college experience or an earned two-year degree or Para-Pro Assessment (highly-qualified criteria)
- Ability to provide research-based literacy interventions to small groups
- Strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills
- Paraprofessional qualifications and compliance with Title I literacy requirements
- Pre-K classroom coverage and related support duties
- Ability to assist in family engagement activities
- Ability to maintain records, logs, and reports related to Title I literacy and Pre-K
