Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures under supervision of a licensed X-Ray Technologist, Supervisor, Manager/Director of Imaging Services, and Radiologist. Obtain optimal image quality while providing personalized care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatric individuals. Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and manipulate X-ray equipment including mobile units. Carry cassettes, select exposure factors, evaluate radiographs, and lift or transport patients. Recognize emergency situations and adapt to a fast-paced daily workload. Maintain current BLS certification and ability to communicate effectively in English. Work PRN hours as a Radiology Intern.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
- Manipulating X-ray equipment including mobile and other equipment
- Carrying cassettes
- Selecting and manipulating exposure factors
- Evaluating radiographs
- Lifting, moving and transporting patients
- Continual standing and walking
- Recognizing emergency situations
- Adapting to fast pace daily workload
- Communicating effectively
