Job Summary

Investigative Assistant District Attorney for the Public Integrity Bureau in the Bronx District Attorney’s Office conducts long-term investigations and trials, prosecutes cases arising from investigations, presents grand jury materials, and engages in plea negotiations and hearings. The role requires maintaining knowledge of investigative methods, communicating across internal and external stakeholders, and performing duties including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate degree and admission to New York State Bar in Good Standing
  • US Citizenship and New York State residency are required as of the first day of employment
  • 3+ years of experience performing long-term criminal investigations.
  • Grand jury experience.
  • Trial experience including, but not limited to: violent felonies and sex crimes
  • Experience with the drafting of applications for search warrants (including those related to electronic devices and social media accounts)
  • Experience developing and managing complex investigations
  • Strong Legal Writing Skills
  • Excellent people skills and demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve complex issues arising from investigations and case management problems from inception through conclusion both professionally and fairly
  • Knowledge of NYS courts and the criminal justice system.
