Job Summary
Provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld in compliance with state practice acts, Mercy Health System goals, and the Sisters of Mercy philosophy. Perform duties consistent with established nursing guidelines, ethics codes, and co-worker conduct standards. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and one year of acute care experience. Involves lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and walking. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- BLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of nursing experience in acute care
- Six months of this experience should be within the last year
