Job Summary
Provide patient care utilizing the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care in conjunction with other departments and ensure patients' rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, and the Code of Professional and Business Ethics. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and one year of acute care experience. Full-time nights shift with physical demands including lifting 50 lbs and prolonged standing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- BLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of nursing experience in acute care
- Six months of this experience should be within the last year
