Job Summary
Provide patient care utilizing the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care across departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and function within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and one year of acute care experience, with the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly. Includes prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- BLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of nursing experience in acute care
- Six months of this experience should be within the last year
