Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Schedule a minimum number of hours and remain available on short notice, accepting day or night shifts as needed. This Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and is subject to last-minute cancellations. Requires a current RN license, recent bedside experience, and relevant certifications. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Women's and Children's (WC)
- BLS and ACLS certification for Critical Care (CC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification for ED
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- Responsibility for scheduling a minimum number of hours
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility

- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
