Ada Family Birthplace - OB Technician - PRN

Ada Family Birthplace OB Technician position (PRN) supports obstetrical care by providing patient care, clerical assistance, and surgical support under Nursing and Medical Staff. Responsibilities include performing designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks such as maintaining patient records, bed control/turnover, patient registration, charge capture, ensuring adequate supplies, phlebotomy, transporting specimens and patients, obtaining blood glucose, Birth Certificate entry, and other duties as assigned. Provides ADL assistance to newborns, childbearing and postpartum patients, and pediatric patients; supports the nursing team, maintains composure during obstetrical emergencies, and may be required to take call. Education required: High-School Diploma or GED; may have completed an accredited surgical tech program but no active CST; Licensure: None; Certifications: American Heart Association BLS required; English proficiency required in writing and speaking.
