Job Summary
In the Emergency Department at Mercy Ada, the LPN provides patient care under supervision of licensed personnel, utilizing the nursing process to coordinate care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. The role requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN licensure in the hiring state, with certifications such as BLS and potentially ACLS/PALS/PEARS/STABLE depending on unit requirements. The position is Full Time on the Night shift (7pm–7am) and includes physical duties such as pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the hiring state
- BLS certification or successful completion within 30 days of hire
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six modules)
- LPN-IV Certification must be completed or completed within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
