Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the Emergency Department while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This flexible, incentivized position offers $40/hour plus variable shift incentives for W-2 employees. Candidates must be available on short notice, flexible with scheduling, and subject to last-minute cancellations, with no guaranteed hours or weekend/holiday requirements. Minimum qualifications include a current RN license, one year of recent bed-side Med Surg experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Women's and Children's (WC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for ED
