Job Summary
Develop strategic publication plans for Rigel products and oversee the delivery of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and scientific materials while managing external agency teams. Create publication enhancements such as infographics, visual abstracts, slide kits, and videos to maximize dissemination, ensuring all work adheres to Rigel publication policy and good publication practice. Lead collaboration with biostatistics and cross-functional partners to drive post-hoc analyses, manage project timelines, and handle vendor selection and financial aspects. Participate in the Publication Review Board to ensure medical accuracy and contribute to the development of publication KPIs and analytic reports. Support medical communication strategies for key congresses, including content development for disease panels, and maintain scientific proficiency in assigned therapeutic areas like Hematology/Oncology.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical publications/communications role at a pharmaceutical company or at a medical communications agency
- Hematology/Oncology experience
- Breast Cancer experience
- Strong Knowledge of current good publication practices and guidelines and medical writing guidelines (e.g., GPP2022, ICMJE, CONSORT)
- Experience in strategic publication planning and execution of publication plans
- Knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations impacting medical communications practices, good clinical practice, and data management
- Collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently to manage several projects simultaneously and accurately track deadlines and details about numerous projects
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- May require travel up to 10% of the time to attend conferences and meetings for publication planning or execution purposes
- Rigel requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (subject to any legally required exemptions)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Advanced scientific degree (Masters, Doctorate) is preferred
- CMPP certification preferred
