Job Summary
Lead the monthly cash reconciliation process across high-volume cash activity (Accounts Payable disbursements, premium billing, and claims payments) and oversee balance sheet reconciliations. Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve end-to-end cash processes, implement automation and standardization, strengthen controls, and provide visibility via dashboards. Manage and coach a finance team, set performance expectations, and support strategic projects including system implementations and policy changes. Ensure compliance with internal controls and MAR requirements; develop reporting to monitor reconciliation status, exceptions, and key cash metrics. Remote nationwide position with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. Healthcare/insurance or managed care experience and CPA (preferred) are beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 6 or more years of accounting compliance experience
- 2 or more years of management experience
- Progressive financial and accounting analysis experience
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Experience leading process improvements and large-scale projects
- Knowledge of premium billing, claims payment cycles, or treasury operations (preferred)
- Experience with reconciliation tools (e.g., BlackLine) and data analytics / Power BI (preferred)
