Job Summary
Provide foreign language support services including transcription, translation, and interpretation for military interrogations, intelligence collection, and operational missions. Deliver idiomatic translations from English to SCRL languages or vice versa, supplying expert cultural and ethnic context regarding terms with multiple valid interpretations. Perform document exploitation, scanning, research, and analysis of foreign language documents and intercepted data to extract information meeting military criteria, supplementing work with specific knowledge in medicine, science, engineering, or legal fields. Requires US citizenship, ILR level 3 proficiency, and at least two years of interpretation or translation experience.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Minimum (2) years' experience of interpretation / translation
- Interagency Language Round Table (ILR) level 3 in both Target Language and English
- Document exploitation skills
- In-depth geo-political knowledge
