Job Summary
Acute Ultrasound Technologist I PRN performs ultrasound exams by following referring providers’ orders and adheres to established policies, with competency across patient ages and acuity levels. Responsibilities include performing ultrasound-guided procedures, educating patients and families, maintaining equipment readiness, and ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes while working in Banner Health facilities in Greeley. Requires national ultrasound certification (ARDMS/CCI/ARRT), BLS, and completion of an approved ultrasound program; typically 0-3 years of experience. This is a per diem/registry role with varied day shifts. Primary duties emphasize diagnostic imaging, protocol adherence, teamwork, and contributing to efficient department operations.
Required Qualifications
- Requires national certification in one area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Uncertified new hires who are Registry eligible must obtain certification within 12 months of hire and image with an experienced technologist until they become fully proficient
- BLS certification required
- Completion of an approved Ultrasound program
