Job Summary
Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in CQI activities. Demonstrates knowledge and safe use of modalities, equipment and therapeutic procedures; coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients' needs are met and hospital policy is followed. Includes providing teaching plans, education programs, and involvement in interdisciplinary rounds, chart review, documentation, and patient education; requires CA PT licensure, graduation from an approved PT program, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved and accredited professional Physical Therapy school or program
- 2 Years Experience in all aspects of physical therapy
- California Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - CA Physical Therapy Board -REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
