Job Summary
Acute Medicine Registered Nurse on the Schukar Unit working 12-hour nights (7pm–7am) in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis. Provides direct patient care for adults with a range of acute medical conditions (renal, endocrine, neurological, GI/GU, pulmonary, infectious disease, cardiology). Develops and documents individualized plans of care with an interprofessional team; educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care; promotes patient safety and participates in professional development. Unit leads include clinical managers and charge nurses; role supports a safety-sensitive environment with opportunities for career ladder advancement and sign-on bonus eligibility.
