Acute Medicine Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient – Days (Alton)

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities within established standards of nursing care. Promote patient and family-centered care by educating individuals on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Develop and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Utilize critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient values, cultural, and population-specific preferences. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development. This safety-sensitive role requires a constant state of alertness. Open to new graduates and experienced RNs with ADN, BSN, or MSN degrees, offering a day-shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts at Alton Memorial Hospital.
