Acute Medicine Pulmonary RN – Days at Barnes-Jewish Hospital provides direct patient care across acute medical conditions, collaborating with physicians and the interprofessional team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Nurses promote patient- and family-centered care, educate patients on post-treatment care and medications, develop and document individualized care plans, ensure clear communication across the care continuum, and apply critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. The role supports the BJC RN Career Ladder, encouraging professional development and advancement, and is a safety-sensitive position with 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm) for full-time staff.
