Acute Medicine Clinical Nurse - PRN

Acute Care Medicine RN on a 25-bed unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (Saint Louis, MO) in a PRN role. Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient- and family-centered care; educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care; participates in safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities; develops and documents individual care plans with an interprofessional team; assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs; recognizes patient values and cultural needs. Unit is safety-sensitive; requires completion of BJC orientations and EPIC Training in the first week and maintains PRN requirements (24 hours every six weeks).
