Acute Medicine Clinical Nurse - Full Time Days

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care for Acute Care Medicine. Educates patients and families on illness/injury management, post-treatment home care needs, and medication administration. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family or caregiver. Promotes patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development and ensures effective communication of the care plan across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and barriers to involvement in care. This is a safety-sensitive RN position based in Saint Louis, MO at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (South Campus).
