Acute Internal Medicine Registered Nurse on the Weekend Option (Days) provides direct patient care for acute medical conditions, working with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely, effective treatment. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards; promoting patient and family centered care; educating patients and families on illness, treatment and home care; participating in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team and caregivers; ensuring clear communication of the plan of care across the continuum; applying critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs; maintaining safety-sensitive responsibilities.
