Job Summary
Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse in Fresenius Kidney Care’s CAP program, responsible for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for an assigned group of patients in an inpatient setting. Provides education to patients and families, coordinates with health care team, administers medications and transfusions, responds to emergencies, and participates in staff training and quality improvement. Requires RN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and 9+ months RN experience with at least 6 months in acute dialysis; includes potential travel between facilities and on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Minimum 9 months experience as an RN
- 6 months experience in acute dialysis as an RN
- Hemodialysis and/or ICU experience (preferred)
- CAP requirements to advance
- Travel to training/meeting sites and between assigned facilities (as needed)
- Ability to perform direct patient care and coordinate with Patient Care Technicians/LVN/LPNs/RNs as designated
