Job Summary
Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) in the Wilkes-Barre area providing direct patient care in inpatient renal replacement and Apheresis services, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, ultrafiltration, CRRT, and apheresis. Responsibilities include supervising PCTs and clerical staff, coordinating with ICU staff and physicians, documenting treatment responses in ACES/hospital records, operating and maintaining dialysis-related equipment, and participating in staff training and quality activities. Requires current state licensure, hospital-based RN duties, and adherence to nephrology/inpatient care policies. On-call rotation and travel between assigned hospitals are expected; color vision testing (Ishihara) is a condition of employment. Minimum 1 year RN experience with at least 6 months nephrology experience before independent practice; BLS CPR required; ACLS CPR preferred. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Current appropriate state licensure
- BLS CPR Recognition
- ACLS CPR Recognition preferred but not required
- One year RN experience required
- Minimum 6 months nephrology experience required
- Minimum 6 months Nephrology experience required before working independently with nephrology services
- Fresenius Medical Care related training or certification preferred
- Demonstrated strong assessment skills in critically ill patients
