Job Summary
As an Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN in Dialysis, provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group with a focus on nephrology/dialysis treatment modalities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; delegate tasks to RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians; participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement; administer intradialytic transfusions and medications, respond to emergencies, and collaborate across the care team; participate in CAP progression and meet state licensure and CPR/BLS requirements; work nocturnally on a 12-hour shift with weekend and occasional Saturday requirements; may serve as Preceptor and provide support across outpatient facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current appropriate state licensure
- CPR BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years or more of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last 2 years as a RN
- Acute dialysis experience (preferred)
- Successful completion of CAP requirements to maintain or advance
- 6 months experience in acute dialysis as a RN
- Ishihara Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
