Job Summary
Inpatient RN CAP 2 providing and coordinating clinically competent care for dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group. May delegate tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians; participates in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities. Requires state RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and dialysis experience (6 months acute dialysis; 2+ years nephrology nursing). Duties include administering prescribed treatments, monitoring patient response, documenting in the medical record, coordinating with nephrology and dialysis teams, and providing education to patients and families. Required Qualifications
- Current appropriate state licensure
- CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet practice requirements in all states employed
- 6 months experience in acute dialysis as a RN
- 2 years or more of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last 2 years as a RN
