Job Summary

Initiate constructive activities addressing goals on a client's Individual Support Agreement while facilitating community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition. Provide specialized support to clients with intellectual disabilities, including those exhibiting sexualized or aggressive behaviors, pending charges, or registry associations. Deliver needed behavioral, mental health, personal, and medical care, utilizing sound judgment to maintain calm during crises. Work with a variety of clients daily on a rotating schedule, implementing behavior support plans and de-escalation techniques. Requires a high school degree, 2-3 years of human services experience, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of Chittenden County resources. Full and part-time options available with varied schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of Experience in a human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill has been acquired
  • Enjoy being physically active and have knowledge of Chittenden County resources
  • Experience using de-escalation techniques
  • Valid driver's License, use of a personal vehicle, and an acceptable driving record
  • Travel as required for client needs, appointments, and for pick-up/drop-off
