Job Summary

Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse provides acute dialysis care and treatment to patients within a hospital environment. This role administers medications as ordered, assists with patient education and follow-up, and collaborates with physicians and hospital staff. The nurse supports operational processes, inventory management, and quality metrics to improve patient outcomes, and may supervise Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses. The position requires compliance with hospital and regulatory policies, setup and operation of dialysis equipment, infection control, and effective communication with care teams to ensure safe, high-quality dialysis care.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license in applicable state or compact.
  • 12 months or more current nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in providing nursing care to patients on dialysis preferred.
  • CPR certification required with hospital approved program
  • Ability to pass color screening.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
  • Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state.
  • Ability to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment.
