Job Summary
Administer dialysis treatments including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT while performing pre- and post-treatment physical assessments and handoff communications. Initiate and terminate patient treatments, connect and disconnect catheters, and maintain equipment through cleaning, disinfection, and water quality verification. Assist Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses, delegate tasks per state practice acts, and ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment charges. This role supports clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations, requiring a current RN license with at least 12 months of experience. Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state or compact
- CPR certification
- Ability to pass color screening
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills
- Proficiency in all USRC clinical applications
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- Previous experience in providing nursing care to patients on dialysis
