Job Summary
Provide dialysis treatment as a Patient Care Technician under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse. Responsibilities include collecting patient stats before/after treatment, initiating, monitoring, and terminating hemodialysis, and collecting blood samples per physician orders. Prepare and disinfect dialysis machines, perform machine safety checks, and log quality-control results. Maintain safety and regulatory compliance, use appropriate PPE, participate in staff meetings and continuing education, and support ongoing patient care. Must complete US Renal Care training within 8 weeks of hire, obtain CPR within 90 days, and obtain/state-certified PCT certification within 18 months.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Patient Care Technician certification within 18 months of hire
