Job Summary
Join US Renal Care as an Acute Dialysis PCT to provide direct dialysis care, monitor treatment, prepare machines, collect samples, and uphold safety and quality standards under RN/Charge Nurse supervision. Responsibilities include patient care before/during/after dialysis, initiating and terminating treatments, machine disinfecting and safety checks, logging quality data, following protocols and regulations, and participating in staff meetings and continuing education. Required credentials include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR within 90 days, and a state- or national-certified PCT program within 18 months, plus successful completion of USRC training for hemodialysis within 8 weeks; prior healthcare experience (dialysis, phlebotomy, CNA) is a plus, with ability to distinguish primary colors and comfort with acid/bicarbonate mixing. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire or as required by state
- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national program within 18 months of hire
- Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; completion of USRC training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol
