Job Summary
Develop and implement processes for program growth while planning patient scheduling to assure timely acceptance and effective staffing levels. Achieve financial targets including budget, labor, and supply costs, and implement clinical processes to improve patient health and reduce readmission rates. Coordinate all department functions, maintain chronological patient documentation, and oversee equipment maintenance and inventory levels. Monitor quality metrics, review incident reports, and develop corrective action plans for internal and external surveys. Recruit, train, and supervise personnel while maintaining collaborative relationships with hospital staff, physicians, and vendors. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and respond timely to inquiries or complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Knowledge of and ability to remain current with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care professionals practice act requirements
- Ability to assure dialysis program compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Ability to receive continuing certification from all statutory and regulatory agencies
- Ability to develop, implement and follow up necessary Corrective Action Plans
- Ability to conduct and/or participate in formal and informal meetings with Hospital Management, Regional Director, Medical Director and staff
- Ability to assure Quality Assessment - Performance Improvement Program is current
- Ability to establish, maintain, and submit all required records and reports concerning staff, patients, and operational affairs
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and approve effective and efficient staffing
- Knowledge of water treatment and mechanisms of dialysis equipment
- Ability to assist with disinfection of equipment and supplies including Reverse Osmosis machines/systems and dialysis machines
- Ability to supervise maintenance of equipment, building areas, and property
- Ability to maintain collaborative working relationship with hospital staff and physicians
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with area dialysis programs, area hospitals, agencies, vendors, and the community
- Ability to respond timely and effectively to inquiries or complaints
- Ability to ensure all staff meet required qualifications for position held
- Ability to recruit, train, develop, and supervise all personnel
- Ability to maintain effective personnel management and employee relations
- Ability to evaluate performance of all personnel
- Ability to approve and submit all hours worked
- Ability to counsel and discipline employees
- Ability to lead staff in team concepts and promote a team effort
