Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under RN supervision and perform specified treatments and procedures on the 44-bed Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. Maintain competency in required skills, ensure a safe environment by following infection control and emergency procedures, and document care and observations per organizational guidelines. Answer phones and call lights promptly, relay accurate messages, and assist with unit flow while managing supplies and equipment. Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and staff, and report hazards or shortages as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years High School Education
- Age 17 with work permit
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Reading and math ability appropriate to the position
- Must have the interpersonal skill to communicate with respect and compassion to customers
- Must be able to lift 50+ Lbs.
- Must be able to lift <50 Lbs.
- Must be able to lift <10 Lbs.
