Job Summary
Conduct screenings, evaluations, treatment, and education for patients with impairments in speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Adhere to ASHA professional standards while engaging in administration, consultation, and research across acute care, ICU, and medical-surgical populations. Manage complex cases including tracheostomy, ventilator care, and advanced dysphagia using instrumental swallow studies like VFSS, MBSS, and FEES. Maintain effective professional behavior through critical thinking, problem-solving, and stress management in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competency
- BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
- Active Florida State Speech Language Pathologist Licensure
