Job Summary
Oversee clinical direction and financial health for Acute Care Services units including ICU, PCU, Medical/Surgical, and Rehab Nursing. Implement departmental policies, audit compliance, and manage budgets to optimize resource utilization while minimizing costs. Direct staff education, assist in hiring and evaluations, and ensure adequate nursing personnel are assigned to meet patient needs across day and night shifts. Conduct regular unit rounds, participate in problem-solving, and collaborate with the Leadership Council to drive quality outcomes and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Nursing or eligible license in the state of Montana
- 5 years or more experience as an Acute Care Clinical Leader
- ACLS certification
- ONS certification
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification within 3 months of hire
- Competency of RN for Med/Surg or ICU
- 2 years or more experience for bedside RN
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degrees in Nursing, Business, or Leadership/Management
- Experience as a Unit Level Director
- Certification in specialty
- Demonstrated success with tabulating, collaborative work with physicians, project management and process improvement projects
- Experience with a team with a variety of skill levels including new graduate RN's
