Job Summary
Acute Care RN in Surgical Critical Care for a full-time night shift. Provides direct care for acutely and chronically ill or injured patients, leads and participates in an interprofessional team, utilizes invasive and noninvasive monitoring data, and delivers care aligned with the Stormont Vail Health practice model. Responsibilities include developing collaborative plans, implementing and evaluating care, promoting patient safety and quality, mentoring newer nurses, and supporting ongoing professional development. Requires BSN, RN licensure in KS, and BLS (with ACLS/RQI as applicable), and a strong foundation in critical care nursing, math calculations, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Registered Nurse license in Kansas (KSBN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RQI, CPR or ACLS certifications may be required in lieu of or in addition to BLS
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration
- Ability to work with data from invasive and noninvasive monitoring technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally, and in writing
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
- Ability to mentor nurses new to their role and support students
