Job Summary
Collect pertinent patient data and analyze assessment findings to determine actual or potential problems, then develop collaborative plans for individualized outcomes. Implement care strategies guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring, fostering respectful relationships and advocating for patient rights while demonstrating diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. Mentor new nurses and support students to ensure successful enculturation and competence. Deliver professional nursing care that promotes health and wellness, utilizing evidence-based practices to maintain safe, effective, and financially responsible services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN)
- Registered Nurse - KSBN
- A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted
- Required proficiency in awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other
- Required proficiency in awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the institution
- Required proficiency in awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and departmental functioning
- Required proficiency in managing situations to minimize risk to the patient and the institution
- Required proficiency in competency in selected psychomotor skills
- Required proficiency in ability to communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written methods
- Required proficiency in ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration
- Required proficiency in ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Required Basic Life Support - BLS
- Other RQI's (Required Qualifications Items) maybe required depending on the department, within 90 days of hire date
- Ability to balance occasionally 1-3 hours
- Ability to carry occasionally 1-3 hours

- Ability to crawl rarely less than 1 hour

- Ability to comply with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
- Ability to dedicate full attention to the job duties and communication with others during working hours
- Ability to adhere to break and attendance schedules agreed upon with supervisor
- Ability to review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually
- Stable access to electricity and a minimum of 25mb upload and internet speed
- Ability to work in a quiet and distraction-free workspace allowing the ability to comply with all security and privacy standards
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
