Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN)
• •Registered Nurse - KSBN
• •A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted
• •Required proficiency in awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other
• •Required proficiency in awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the institution
• •Required proficiency in awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and departmental functioning
• •Required proficiency in managing situations in a manner which minimizes risk to the patient and the institution
• •Required proficiency in competency in selected psychomotor skills
• •Required proficiency in ability to communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written methods
• •Required proficiency in ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration
• •Required proficiency in ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• •Required Basic Life Support - BLS
• •Other RQI's maybe required depending on the department, within 90 days of hire date

• •Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
