Job Summary
Collect pertinent data on acutely ill adult patients and analyze assessment results to determine actual or potential problems. Develop individualized collaborative care plans and implement strategies to promote health and wellness while evaluating progress toward goals. Deliver professional nursing care guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring, fostering respectful relationships and advocating for patient rights. Mentor new nurses and support students, while committing to lifelong learning and participating in the evolution of the Stormont Vail Health professional practice model. Utilize evidence-based resources to provide safe, effective, and financially responsible services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN)
- Registered Nurse - KSBN
- A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted
- Required proficiency in awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other
- Required proficiency in awareness and application of safety issues
- Required proficiency in awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and departmental functioning
- Required proficiency in managing situations to minimize risk to the patient and the institution
- Required proficiency in competency in selected psychomotor skills
- Required proficiency in ability to communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written methods
- Required proficiency in ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration
- Required proficiency in ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Required Basic Life Support - BLS
- Other RQI's maybe required depending on the department, within 90 days of hire date
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to work in a quiet and distraction-free workspace
- Stable access to electricity and a minimum of 25mb upload and internet speed
- Dedicate full attention to the job duties and communication with others during working hours
- Adhere to break and attendance schedules agreed upon with supervisor
- Review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually
- Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
- Performs other duties as assigned
