Job Summary

Collect pertinent patient data, analyze assessment findings to identify problems, and develop individualized collaborative care plans. Implement these strategies to promote health and wellness while evaluating progress toward goals. Deliver professional nursing care grounded in Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring, fostering unconditional acceptance and respect. Mentor new nurses and support students to ensure successful orientation and competence. Communicate effectively across all professional practice areas and advocate for patients within the Stormont Vail Health professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN)
Registered Nurse - KSBN
A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted
Required proficiency in awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other
Required proficiency in awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the institution
Required proficiency in awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and departmental functioning
Required proficiency in managing situations to minimize risk to the patient and the institution
Required proficiency in competency in selected psychomotor skills
Required proficiency in ability to communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written methods
Required proficiency in ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration
Required proficiency in ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Required Basic Life Support - BLS
