Job Summary
Conduct the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in the neuro ICU while utilizing evidence-based practice. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to population characteristics and partners with families through bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds. Coordinate safe quality care delivery via timely documentation and diverse interdisciplinary communication, actively participating in shared governance and performance improvement initiatives. Mentor staff and students to ensure a qualified workforce, while completing all mandatory education and competency assessments. Uphold Wellstar policies, TJC safety goals, and legal regulatory standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
- Required direct patient care experience Preferred
