Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with patients and families for teaching and goal setting. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication through rounds and case reviews, ensuring timely documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Complete mandatory education, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities. Uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar policies while supporting recruitment and retention efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
- Required direct patient care experience Preferred
