Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for individualized patient care in the Neuro unit. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and bedside shift reports to ensure safe, high-quality care while documenting outcomes and promoting cultural diversity. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide just-in-time teaching. Complete mandatory education, serve as a preceptor, and participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance initiatives. Uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
- Required direct patient care experience Preferred
