Job Summary
Maintain constant observations and Q15 checks every 15 minutes while making rounds of the entire unit. Conduct assigned therapy groups, assist clients with personal care and hygiene, and take vital signs per unit protocol. Manage disruptive clients using crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation, including restraint when ordered. Accompany staff and clients to court hearings, medical appointments, and treatment team meetings. Prepare clients for discharge by retrieving belongings and verifying inventory with two staff members and the client. Greet visitors, monitor visitation, and assist nursing staff with prescribed treatments and urine drug screens. Complete admission paperwork and unit housekeeping. Full-time rotating schedule with Level II background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Level II Background clearance
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record
- High School Education or equivalent
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Must be comfortable using crisis intervention techniques for de-escalation and restraint
- Must be able to pass a level II background check/fingerprinting and drug test
- Must be available for 7 AM - 7 PM OR 7 PM - 7 AM shifts
- Must be available for Rotating weeks (Mon., Tues, Fri, Sat) & (Sun, Wed, Thurs) schedule
