Acute Care Physical Therapist

Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard practices. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver quality, patient-centered care. Conduct evaluations and treatments based on diagnosis, history, and physician referrals, developing care plans with specific goals. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers about patient needs and goals, ensuring smooth operations. Manage all aspects of patient care and education, including supervising assistants, aides, office staff, and students. Maintain thorough, timely patient records and complete billing accurately. Participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and interdisciplinary meetings. Contribute to program development and marketing strategies to grow the physical therapy program. This role is based at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, with a scheduled weekly commitment of 36 hours.
