Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver quality, patient-centered care. Conduct evaluations and treatments according to professional standards, develop care plans with specific goals, and supervise assistants, aides, and students to ensure high-quality care. Maintain thorough patient records, complete billing accurately, and participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and interdisciplinary meetings. Contribute to program development and marketing strategies to achieve department goals. Located at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, this full-time role requires a current Physical Therapist license, BLS certification, and the ability to lift heavy items and navigate crowded clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Basic Computer skills
