Job Summary
Provide care to hospital ICU patients under physician supervision by performing comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and developing treatment plans for acute, complex, and life-threatening conditions. Order and interpret laboratory, radiologic, and diagnostic studies while prescribing medications, blood products, fluids, and therapies within scope of practice. Monitor ventilator management, perform invasive procedures, and respond to rapid response and code blue activations as assigned. Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, quality improvement projects, and peer reviews while documenting all assessments and progress in the electronic medical record. Must work night shifts; training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Accredited School offering an Advanced Degree in Nurse Practice (ARNP)
- Current, unrestricted California NP license
- Current Board certification in relevant specialty
- Current DEA certificate without restriction
- ACLS
- Advanced knowledge of critical care medicine and pathophysiology
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
- Ability to manage multiple critically ill patients simultaneously
- Proficiency in interpreting ECGs, ABGs, imaging studies, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in rapidly changing clinical situations
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
- Must be able to work night shifts
- Full time float position
Desired Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted California NP license ACNP preferred
