Job Summary
Nurse Manager for Acute Care, Med/Surg unit(s) at Wellstar, accountable for clinical, financial, human and material resources with a focus on staff recruitment/retention, safety and quality. Leads governance processes, promotes relationship-based, patient-centered care, applies data-driven decision making, and drives outcomes through effective communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients and other departments. Requires RN licensure with BSN; MSN preferred; certifications upon hire; strong leadership, budgeting, coaching, change management, and knowledge of healthcare financing and operational strategy. Operates under the Professional Practice Model to ensure service excellence and attainment of organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Masters Nursing-Preferred
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
- BLS - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support
- RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact or RN - Reg Nurse (Single State)
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in nursing management
